Wire, glass, tubes, resins, and paint, manipulated by a master, form the most unusual and unique of artistic offerings.

His artistic niche truly sets Hank Garcia apart from his peers.

Garcia describes his work as "… kind of like building a house. I don't 'paint' as much as I 'construct'. I work in layers – each one capturing a moment in time along the journey, ultimately leading to art that is raw, honest and prepared to force a reaction."

The youngest son of a cowboy / bull rider, Hank grew up in Santa Maria, California, and was continually encouraged to work on little art projects by a mother who had a “we can fix that, we can make this look better” attitude.

He is a professional actor with twenty-three years in commercials, film, and television by trade, a lawyer and member of the California Bar by profession, and, fortunately for us, an artist by choice.

Hank has been creating his unique artistic offerings for over fifteen years and now devotes his full attention to his work at his studios in Los Angeles and Ojai, California.

Admiration of the ancient cave painters for their “unbridled artistic exploration”, the works and philosophy of French postimpressionist Paul Gauguin, the physicalization, energy and action of Pollack’s work, and, of course, the great Picasso himself, have all contributed to the unique artist vision of Hank Garcia. A style that is self-described as “Primitive modernism sculptural paintings”.

Truly unique, totally reactive, these works invite you on a journey of feelings and imagination.
